ALEX CHAN

JOURNALIST - PRODUCER - CREATIVE

The best stories are true stories.

The ones I find and share are typically about culture, race & identity, art, education, science and technology. My stories have been featured on print, web, radio, television and digital platforms.

I spent several years as a local journalist for The Orange County Register and community publications owned by the Los Angeles Times. My most recent work with NBC News and Regency Global, an award-winning brand curation agency in South Africa, strongly developed my interest in social impact storytelling and expanding digital literacy.

Original work produced by me includes EDUC(ASIAN) – a podcast about the Asian diaspora – and Found Objects, a short documentary about environmentally conscious art that aired on Spectrum News in 2020.

I earned my B.A. in Literary Journalism from UC Irvine and my M.S. in Journalism from USC. Follow my site for more content.
